Where Am I? Hey, I know you – can you recommend me a good restaurant? Just when they learned to read the tickets (“bongi”) in Finnish and daily routines became routines, it`s time to go home, back to France and Vendée. Three weeks went like flying. How has Finland been? Evans, tell us what you think about this experience.

“First of all it`s too cold here, but what a beautiful country with snow everywhere. Nice persons at work, at school and out. People are very friendly and they are here to help if you have lost your way like happened to me one day – it’s another story, but a good souvenir for me. Talking English was very useful here.

I did my practice in Lappish restaurant Nili, where for the first time I have used reindeer, bear and king crab and also learned the different berries that they use. It´s confusing every time and it`s always the wrong berry. I learned also about the Lapin food and products that you have here. Nili was a great place to work with very very nice staff who taught me some Finnish words. Now I know how to count to 20, Kiitos, Terve, Ole hyvä…

For me it was the first time to be here, but I will come back for sure, but in summer time – Moi Moi!”

Sirpa, Anthony, Katri…

Still outside and it`s only like -20C. Keep that smile my Friend.

The work has done, but before the flight to France and Vendée, there`s still plenty to do. Arctic Circle and meeting with Santa Claus, Xmas postcards to home, shopping, Skidoo-safari, summary of the training period and evaluations…
