Sunny terraces with bubbles, A21`s brilliant bar takeover, new friends, connections and ideas, interesting bars, lots of laughing – all that Tallinn had to offer. Before the boat to Finland and flight to Finnish Lapland and Rovaniemi, there was one more thing to do. Visit Liviko and discover the secrets of Vana Tallinn, the perfect match for Finnish glögi. Plan was also to create something new, while visiting the Eesti Baarmenite Assotsiatsioon`s (EBA) Training Centre, from that product with A21`s staff – make some “kokteilides”. Maybe even have some sort of “bar battle”.

Thank You Marge and Juho, Liviko and Interbrands Wines&Spirits, for making this great “training tour” possible – let`s continue our co-operation. “First we will talk about our history and then go and see the production. After that…”

Hmmmmm – so this is Vana Tallinn 😉

Do you know the story of Viru Valge`s etiquette?

Same everywhere – only the scale of production vary, but the rules of production are the same everywhere.

Why spend your whole life behind the counter trying to muddle and extract something revolutionary when someone has already done it – it`s already in a bottle.

Those who were present know – flexibility is the word 😉

Great training centre with inspiring environment – good vibe around bartending in Estonia.

Here we go again. Everything is good with homemade lingonberry puree. Lingonberry is (will be) new cranberry.

…And the moves. Feels like I`ve seen that before and if you look at Taavi`s face – he also!

And before we noticed, we had a small scale bar battle in our hands. It was really interesting to see and feel it, when you have two groups who follow different kind of bartending philosophy. Think a bit differently, use different ingredients and look for different aroma profiles, have different comfort zones… If you ask me, it was a tie. “You can make the base, we will upgrade it.” – Who said that 😉
